Eating chocolate

With your eyes closed, eat a piece or two... or three... of chocolate, focusing intently on the party going on in your mouth. Notice how the chocolate clings to your tongue; how the sweetness lingers; how firm yet increasingly soft it becomes against the roof of your mouth... Write for 10 minutes on what you're experiencing, letting the words take you where they will - beginning, if you like, with "Oh, how we danced..."

    Oh how we danced on that first encounter, as I drew you into my mouth. The hint of sweetness encourages, promises of things to come. Slowly I draw my tongue over your shape, releasing silky creamy smoothness to my mouth. The hints of clotted cream and condensed milk sweetness flood my mouth - too much. I withdraw my tongue from its probing melting efforts, just to let your juices fill my mouth under their own steam for a while. However, soon, I must have more, and once again we are dancing, playing tongue tag. There is a flavour building - its your nuts! Deep within the silken cocoon prison of fats, and sugars hazelnuts wait to be unlocked, to be set free from their prison. I try to resist those nuts, but the flavour is now mingling strongly, and i fight the urge just to bite down and crunch them. I am waiting, waiting for that perfect moment where there is just enough of you left to sweeten the slightly salty nuts that await my teeth. Rivulets of sweetness, so sweet they almost burn, trickle to the back of my throat, coating, lubricating, enveloping all my pharyngeal surfaces like a gilt statue in the sun. I can hold back no longer, and the hazelnuts get it hard - crunch crunch, little boulders, nutty gravel, a rich alluvial heaven delivered right to my tongue. Of course, this is not enough, with that, another chunk please....


    I wasnt that happy with this piece, I dont know if its just I am not a chocolate man (I used Ritter SPort WHite chocolate with hazelnuts) but I found it hard to find the right engagement level with the subject matter (bit like dialogue really). I tried to keep sexual allusions out, but with something this sensory, its hard!

  2. hey but all those bits would work so WELL in other things - sex scenes, love scenes, words to describe something youre eating in a novel.....i mean, who could resist: a rich alluvial heaven delivered right to my tongue. xxx
