Chorus lines
What's the difference between a song and a poem? It's a question asked of my duo partner Hanly and I at the Ubud Writer's Festival a few years back. The answer, as it turned out, was not very much. Take the chorus out of a song, and it often resembles a poem. Add a chorus to a poem, and you have a song! TASK Find a poem you have written or use one by someone else. Write a chorus and use it to turn the poem into a song. It doesn't need to rhyme :)
