Rubbish. not.
Who hasn't exclaimed at the beauty of a flower and the ugliness of a wrapper discarded on the roadside? It has always interested me how, on seeing a beautiful yellow flower half-hidden in the bushes, I investigate, realise it's a Twix wrapper and instantly re-define it as something that, in its new-found social context, is no longer beautiful. TASK Find yourself a piece of colourful garbage and write about it as if it were an exotic flower, beginning "Who would have thought..."
